Installation

Before Installation

Consider the quality of the water in the pool.  In most instances, pools can be converted to an ECOmatic™ system without having to change the water.  But if the water is older than 3 years or it has had high levels of chemical dosing, it may be advisable to replace the water.

Installation Summary

Follow these easy installation steps.  The existing pool equipment does not need to be changed.

  1. Install the cell into the return line, downstream from all other components. It must be horizontal and a have a inlet/outlet piping length of a minimum of 6".
  2. Mount the power pack on the wall, fence, post, etc. within reach of the cell cord.
  3. Connect to power so that it is on only when the pump is on.
  4. Connect cell to power pack.
  5. Add salt to pool water.  (Estimate by multiplying the number of gallons in the pool by 0.0275 lbs.)
  6. Enjoy your pool!
